Pharmaceutical Artwork Specialist (80% - 100%)
As a Pharmaceutical Artwork Specialist, you will contribute to the Supply Chain team mainly at the Basel site and will report to the Head of Supply Chain.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the full artwork lifecycle for packaging materials prepared by external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). You will act as a key coordinator between internal functions (Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs) and external partners (CMOs), ensuring that all packaging components are developed, reviewed, and delivered in a compliant, timely, and high-quality manner to support market release.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and control the entire artwork lifecycle for externally developed packaging artworks.
- Coordinate artwork creation, updates, and approvals across internal and external stakeholders.
- Track change requests and ensure timely implementation of updates.
- Support product launches, technical transfers, and regulatory-driven artwork changes.
- Perform initial formatting and proofreading checks using approved tools.
- Maintain and organize artwork master data and documentation records.
- Liaise with external partners (CMOs and artwork agencies) and internal functions (Supply chain, Quality) to monitor progress and implementation of artworks.
- Oversee the phase-out process for outdated packaging materials.
- Prepare artwork-related documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Contribute to SOPs, process updates, and internal trainings related to artwork management.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops related to artwork procedures and systems.
Your profile
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in coordination and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical artworks or packaging processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Open-minded, reliable, and proactive team player.
- Customer-focused and able to communicate clearly.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in graphic design, packaging/ printing technology, supply chain or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in artwork, packaging, supply chain or administrative coordination roles (preferably in Pharma or FMCG).
- Proficient in MS Office tools; knowledge of artwork or design software is a plus.
- Fluent in English. French, German or any other language are a plus.
