In this position, you will contribute to identifying best-in-class scFvs and driving Numab’s projects towards development. You will be responsible for sequence and structure analysis for antibody engineering.
Research Associate / Scientist Antibody Structural Bioinformatics 100%
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform Sanger/NGS sequence analyses and protein structure modelling using state-of-the-art in-silico methods to gain insights and guide antibody design, selection and optimization
- Analyse in-silico and/or related experimental data sets (for example antibody xray/cryoEM/predicted structures and biophysical data sets)
- Contribute to technology development and innovations
- Develop/expand in-house data processing pipelines
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to guide decision-making
- Contribute to publications, conference presentations and patent applications
Ideal candidates will have:
- Deep understanding of antibody/protein structure and solid programming skills
- PhD (preferred) or MSc in computational biology, computational chemistry, theoretical chemistry, biophysical chemistry, biochemistry, chemistry, biophysics, structural biology or a related discipline with relevant industry (preferably biotech) experience
- Experience in molecular modeling, molecular dynamics simulations, docking and structural bioinformatics tools and software (Discovery Studio, Rosetta, or similar) for sequence and structural analysis and structure-based antibody design and optimization
- Substantial experience of working with Unix/Linux at the command-line and writing programs/scripts (e.g., format conversions, report/summary generation, etc.) to solve day-to-day problems
- Proficiency in statistics and able to apply it to analysis of data and results
- Familiarity with high-performance computing environments
- Experience in analysis of large datasets
- Ability to work independently, and willingness to take on tasks and responsibilities as needed in a dynamic cross-functional team environment
